Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) is the latest OS for the Mac platform. It ships with all new Macs, and is available to buy as a full retail version for installation on some older machines.

Mac computer with an Intel processor
Mac computer with a PowerPC G4 processor (867MHz or faster)
Mac computer with a PowerPC G5 processor
512MB of memory
DVD drive for installation
9GB of available disk space
